Membership in the Pilgrim Francis Cooke Society

Any individual that has an approved membership application from the General Mayflower Society connecting to Pilgrim Francis Cooke as their ancestor may become a Member of the Pilgrim Francis Cooke Society. The PFCS accepts approved memberships to the General Society of Mayflower Descendants, dated after 1982. Applicants may join the Pilgrim Francis Cooke Society as a Life Member or as an Annual Member. A photocopy of the Mayflower Society application approved by, and bearing the GSMD seal and signature of, the Historian General of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants (GSMD) must accompany the PFCS application.

Any individual may become a Supporting Member irrespective of being descendant from Francis Cooke or the surname Cooke, with the purpose of sponsoring this Society.

Listed below are the three (3) categories of the society memberships with the membership requirements.

Annual Member:
Any person eighteen (18) years of age or over, which has a application approved by the Mayflower Society, and has submitted an application to the Pilgrim Francis Cooke Society, and has paid the required fees and dues may become a Society Annual Member. Annual Members may vote and serve on the Board of Directors and be appointed to any of the various committees.

Life Member:
Any person eighteen (18) years of age or over, which has a application approved by the Mayflower Society, and has submitted an application to the Pilgrim Francis Cooke Society, and has paid the required fees and dues may become a Society Life Member. Life Members may vote and serve on the Board of Directors and be appointed to any of the various committees.

Associated Member:  "Friends of the PFCS". (Descent from Francis Cooke is not required)
Any business, organization or individual eighteen (18) years of age or over, irrespective of being a descendant from Pilgrim Francis Cooke, may submit the Associate Membership Form to the Pilgrim Francis Cooke Society, and having paid the membership dues may become an Associate Member.  Associate Members may neither serve on the Board of Directors nor vote on any Society business, however they may receive other benefits of membership including the society's newsletters when published.

Membership Dues and Fees:
All Annual and Associate members are subject to annual membership dues.
The annual dues are payable in advance and shall be for the following business year. The business year is January to December. Annual dues may be pro-rated for new members as determined by the Membership Secretary. The Membership dues and fees shall be as follows:

Annual Members: $20 per year.
Life Members: $200 one time payment.
Associate Members: $10 per year


There is an additional one-time fee of $5 for processing an application.
A frameable 8.5x11 formal membership certificate is mailed to the new member.

Application Submission:

Applications for all categories must be submitted upon the forms furnished by the Pilgrim Francis Cooke Society, see below, and shall be accompanied with the appropriate application fee and dues. Society Lineage applications shall include all the required documentation of birth, death and marriage for every generation. All applications shall be submitted to the Pilgrim Francis Cooke Society's Membership Secretary at the email or mailing address given below.

PFCS Membership Applications

If you are applying for membership in the PFCS and you have an approved membership from the Mayflower Society with Francis Cooke as your ancestor, please use the following application and submit a copy of your signed GSMD application. Remember to include your application dues/fees, these must be paid prior to final membership approval.
